The Donegal County Council (Buncrana School Campus Site) Compulsory Purchase Order 2020 (“the CPO”) has been confirmed without modification by Order of An Bord Pleanala dated 5th July 2021. The CPO relates to lands situate in the townland of Ballymacarry, Buncrana and as so confirmed, it authorises the Council to acquire permanently for the purposes of the provision of a site suitable for the development of a school campus thereon, the land described in the schedule to the CPO and as further shown on the map deposited therewith. The Council has now published and served Notice of Confirmation of the making of the Order in accordance with Section 78 (1) of the Housing Act 1966 and Section 217 (5) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000. It will become operative three weeks from the date of publication of the Notice of Confirmation.

An application for judicial review of the decision of the Board under Order 84 of the Rules of the Superior Courts (S.I. No. 15 of 1986) may be made to the High Court within eight weeks of the date of publication of the above Notice in accordance with Section 50 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000.
